Killin Weekend Takes Place May 4-5 at Eastern Washington University

Tickets are now on sale for the 26th annual Orland Killin Dinner, Dance & Auction that will take place on Saturday, May 5 at Eastern Washington University.

The event starts with a social hour and auction at 4:30 p.m., followed by the dinner (6:15 p.m.) and dancing. Cost is $75 with reserved tables that seat 10 persons available for $675. More information and tickets can be obtained by calling 509-359-2463.

Prior to the dinner, Eastern's football, volleyball and soccer squads will be in action at the EWU Sports and Recreation Center. The Eagle soccer team will have its annual Alumni Game at noon, the volleyball team will scrimmage at 1 p.m. and the Red-White Spring Football Game takes place at 2 p.m. at Woodward Field.

The event raises funds for the Orland Killin Academic Scholarship Fund as well as athletic scholarships. It is named in honor of Orland Killin, who along with his wife Bernice helped create the event. Orland was a man immensely dedicated to academics and the integrity of Eastern Washington University, serving as professor, faculty athletic representative and faculty president. He was an Eastern football letterwinner in 1941-42. The weekend of festivities also includes the 20th Annual EWU Football Coaches Golf Tournament on Friday, May 4 at 12:30 p.m. at Indian Canyon Golf Course. Cost is $125 with an entry form available at the EWU Athletics website at WWW.GOEAGS.COM.
