Eagle Soccer Earns NSCAA Academic Honor

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and adidas honored the Eastern Washington University women's soccer team with the team academic award for the eighth consecutive year.
Eastern had a 3.20 grade point average. This award is given to teams with a grade point average of 3.00 or higher.
Last year, the NSCAA recognized Tiera Como on its All-West Region third team. Como graduated in the spring with a degree in mathematics education and had a 3.40 grade point average that year.
The Eagles had a team GPA of 3.40 in 2004-05 to rank 33rd out of 253 schools honored nationally. Eastern was ranked second in Division I and 10th in the nation with a GPA of 3.50 in the 2002-03 season.
Other Big Sky Conference schools to be recognized this year were Northern Colorado (3.31), Northern Arizona (3.20), Portland State (3.18) and Montana (3.08).
