2009-10: Finished her junior campaign with a 5-16 overall record. Started the season at the No. 6 singles spot, but moved up to No. 4 midway through the year, where she recorded two of her three conference victories. Helped the Eagles earn a dramatic win at home over Northern Colorado when she came from behind to beat Luisa Xavier by a score 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Followed that performance with another impressive victory over Amy Bettis of Idaho State (6-4, 6-3). Tallied five wins while playing at the No. 2 doubles spot with Marie Demerath – three of which were against BSC opponents.
2008-09: Liening started the 2009 season 10-6, but dropped her last seven matches to finish the year 10-13 in singles competition. Still, Liening's 10 wins were the most by any Eagle player in 2008-09, along with Rachel Berger, who also finished with 10 wins. Liening and Berger teamed up for eight doubles wins on the season as well.
2007-08: Liening saw action in four matches in 2008. She played both singles and doubles against No. 67 Utah on Feb. 11, as well as versus Lewis-Clark State on April 19. In the latter contest, she claimed a 6-2, 6-2 singles victory and, teamed with Rachel Berger, a 9-7 doubles win. She also earned a 6-4, 6-2 singles win on March 2 against a Lewis-Clark State opponent.
