2008: Mankovits had a quality season, on and
off the court, and was rewarded for it with placement on the Big
Sky Conference All-Academic team. On the court, she enters 2009
with 25 career singles wins, the sixth-highest total in Eagle
history. She also teamed with Kasey Knox for 11 doubles victories,
all at the No. 1 position, to tie for second on that single-season
chart. Mankovits went on an impressive hot streak in the middle of
the campaign, recording six straight singles wins and tallying
victories in eight of nine contests. Mankovits had a dominating
6-0, 6-0 victory in a 6-1 defeat of Weber State. That, coupled with
an 8-4 doubles victory with Knox and singles and doubles wins in a
7-0 win against UC Santa Cruz, earned Mankovits Big Sky Player of
the Week accolades. Perhaps the most impressive win of the year for
Knox and Mankovits came against No. 46 Sacramento State's No. 1
doubles team, 8-5.
2007: Mankovits and Marie Demerath had 10
victories in 2007, tied for the seventh-most by an Eagle tandem in
school history. That mark is also eighth on the career record
charts. She had a perfect day in a 5-2 loss to Montana State,
winning 6-2, 7-6 in singles and teaming with Demerath for an 8-4
doubles victory, their second of three wins in three days for the
doubles tandem. In a 5-2 win over Utah State, she and Demerath
clinched for Eastern the doubles point with an exciting 9-8 win.
Then in singles action, she rallied for a 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 victory.
2006: Mankovits earned a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win early in the season over Lewis-Clark State's Alyson Peck at No. 4. In a 5-2 Big Sky Conference defeat of Idaho State, Mankovits achieved wins in both singles and doubles. She also played well in Eastern's 5-2 loss to Montana, as she and Iliana Petrova won at No. 2 doubles, and she was able to prevail at No. 5 singles. An impressive 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles helped the Eagles earn the doubles point against Northern Arizona.
Personal: Mankovits was born June 12, 1987, in Vancouver, B.C. She is the daughter of Akos and Wanda Mankovits and is majoring in community health. She also has a minor in business.
