Second-seeded Kasey Knox was had one of five individual victories for the Eastern Washington University women's tennis team Friday (Sept. 22) on the first day of the Red Lion Invitational at the EWU Sports and Recreation Center.

Knox received a first-round bye, then won her second-round match, as did teammate Kerstyn Dolack. Rachel Berger won two matches on Friday, and Iliana Petrova won a first-round match before falling in the second round.

Eastern also won its two doubles matches on Friday as the teams of Claudia Gonzales/Sayaka Yoshimoto and Amanda Mankovits/Petrova were victorious.

The tournament continues Saturday and Sunday.
