2007: Garruto placed 34th at the Big Sky Conference Championships (19:27.20) and was 135th at the NCAA West Regional Championships (22:53.90). She was Big Sky All-Academic for cross country.
2006-07: She placed 42nd (19:31.20) at the Big Sky Cross Country Championships. Garruto finished sixth in the 5,000 (career-best 18:17.76 to rank her second on Eastern's all-time best list) at the BSC Indoor Championships. At the Vandal Indoor Invitational, Garruto had a career-best mile (5:21.36). Outdoors, Garruto had a career-best 1,500 (4:51.37) at the Al Manuel Invitational. Garruto finished 16th at the BSC Outdoor Championships in the 5,000 (19:27.21). She was Big Sky All-Academic in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field.
2005-06: She was 42nd (20:11.40) at the Big Sky Cross Country Championships and 141st (23:25.00) at the NCAA West Regionals. Garruto had a career-best 3,000 (10:29.39, which ranks her fifth on Eastern's all-time best list), and she went on to finish 16th at the BSC Indoor Championships in the 5,000 (20:52.32). Outdoors, she had a career best in the 5,000 (18:04.81) at the Duane Hartman Invitational to rank her seventh on EWU's all-time best list. She had a career best in the 10,000 (39:44.45 to rank her seventh on Eastern's all-time best list) to finish 11th at the BSC Championships. She earned Big Sky All-Academic honors indoors and outdoors.
2004-05: During the cross country season, she placed 46th at the Big Sky Championships (19:45.00). Indoors, Garruto finished third in the 3,000 (11:04.51) at the McDonald's Collegiate. She was named Big Sky All-Academic in cross country.
