Grand Prize includes one-night stay in the luxurious Hagadone Suite at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, plus incredible spa and dining gift certificates and EWU football season tickets!
When it's all said and done, Eastern Washington University volleyball will be one step closer to having a supreme program. The Eagles have officially launched their 2011 "Play to Stay" fundraiser, featuring one grand prize valued at more than $6,000.
"Play to Stay" is a raffle to benefit EWU volleyball. All proceeds will be used to enhance the quality of the program and the Eagle Volleyball student-athlete experience. This may include anything from improvements to the volleyball team room, additional resources for the athletic training room and weight room or to improve travel accommodations for the student-athletes and staff.
"We wanted to do something significant for this program that would bring us more in line with other schools in our conference and throughout Division I," said EWU head coach Miles Kydd. "We hope this campaign will help minimize the gap between the haves and have-nots."
Throughout the 2011 season, the Eastern volleyball team will be selling raffle tickets for a grand prize to be announced to one lucky winner at Eastern's final home game of the season on Nov. 18, 2011. The tickets are $50 apiece and only 500 tickets will be sold.
"In the past, our fundraising approach was basically asking for straight-up cash donations," said Kydd. "We wanted to do something different this time around, and on a much larger scale. This raffle gives people an opportunity to invest in EWU volleyball, while also providing the chance for a pretty good return on investment."
The grand prize is a one-night stay in the Hagadone Suite at the Coeur d'Alene Resort (to be used between Jan. 3 - Feb. 29, 2012), a $300 gift certificate to Spa Coeur d'Alene, $200 to Beverly's Restaurant, two 2012 EWU Football season tickets, an Adidas gift package, as well as an in-room gift basket.
The Hagadone Suite is a 2,500 square foot penthouse atop the Lake Tower of the Coeur d'Alene Resort in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. This suite takes up the entire 18th floor of the resort and features a separate bedroom with a king size bed, in-room waterfall bathtub, a living room, dining room, fireplace, wet bar, sitting room with an entertainment center and large cathedral ceilings. The space also has a Jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the lake, as well as a glass bottom swimming pool. The normal rate of the room is listed at $5,000 per night.
And just in case the lavish accommodations of the Hagadone Suite are not enough, the "Play to Stay" package also includes generous gift certificates to the $10 million Spa Coeur d'Alene and the resort's signature five-star restaurant, which features the largest wine selection in the Pacific Northwest.
A gift that keeps on giving, the winner of the "Play to Stay" raffle will also get the chance to follow the National Champion Eagle football team throughout the 2012 season, as the prize includes two season seats for all home games at the nationally-acclaimed Roos Field in Cheney, Wash.
Raffle tickets will be sold at all EWU home volleyball games (for complete volleyball schedule, click here), as well as the football home opener versus Montana State on Sept. 24. Interested parties may also call the EWU volleyball office at 509.359.7355 or contact Kara Hogan at 509.359.6394. Tickets may also be purchased via mail-in orders…send $50 cash or check to…
