2011: Led the Big Sky Conference in double-doubles with 17 on the season, and was also among the top three in the league for service aces, tallying 112 for an average of 0.30 per set … She was named to the Big Sky All-Academic team for the second year in a row … Niemeier started every single match of the season for EWU, averaging 5.71 assists per game as one of two setters in the 6-2 offense … She had five games with 30 or more assists, including a season-high 42 in a five-set victory against Southern Utah (Sept. 10) … She tallied a career-high 20 digs against Idaho (Oct. 5), and had at least 15 pickups on six other occasions … Against Big Sky regular-season and tournament champion Northern Colorado (Sept. 20), Niemeier recorded a career-high five service aces, which tied for the most by any player in the league in 2011 … Niemeier had at least three aces in four other Big Sky Conference matches … In an important five-set victory at home against Montana (Oct. 28), Niemeier delivered with 32 assists, 17 digs, one ace and one kill … She followed that performance with two more double-doubles to help Eastern capture wins against Montana State (Oct. 29) and Northern Arizona (Nov. 3).

2010: Niemeier split setting duties with Laney Brown as part of EWU’s 6-2 offense in 2010 … She registered five double-doubles throughout the year and had the most service aces of anyone on the squad with 21 … She had six games with 30+ assists, including a career-high 57 against Montana (Sept. 17), which was among the top five-best performances of all setters in the Big Sky in 2010 … Niemeier helped Eastern capture its first conference victory of the year with 44 assists, six digs, five blocks and two kills against Idaho State (Sept. 24) … She was also strong in the second meeting of the season against ISU, tallying 32 assists and 11 digs in Pocatello … Niemeier led the Eagles to a dramatic come-from-behind victory against Montana (Oct. 30) with 31 assists, 11 digs and four service aces … She had a career-high 17 digs against Portland State (Nov. 6), to go along with 25 assists and three aces … She averaged 1.83 digs per set, and had at least five digs in all but five of the 22 matches in which she played. She was named to the Big Sky All-Academic team for the first time in her career.

High School: Niemeier graduated from Shadle Park High School in Spokane, Wash., in 2009 … In her senior season with the Highlanders, Niemeier helped lead the team to its first-ever state title at the 3A level and its first since Shadle Park claimed the 4A crown in 1993 … Following her outstanding senior campaign, Niemeier earned All-State Honorable Mention accolades … Then, in the winter, she helped the basketball squad to a berth in the state championship game, marking the best postseason performance for Shadle since 1989, when the Highlanders won the title … The 2008 appearance was also the team’s first since 2000 … As the starting point guard, Niemeier led the Highlanders in scoring that season … Her freshman year, she also earned All-Greater Spokane League accolades as part of the 1,600-meter relay squad.
