2011: Played in 26 of 28 matches in her first year of collegiate volleyball … Had a major impact throughout the season, but was especially strong in conference play, averaging 1.75 kills and 0.94 blocks per set in Eastern's 16 league matches … Behind veterans Cora Kellerman and Shelby Puckett, Fermantez was the third-leading scorer on the team during the 2011 Big Sky season … She ranked third overall in league-only statistics with her impressive .302 attack percentage … Turned in a career-high performance against Montana State (Oct. 29), with 13 kills and only one error on 26 attempts (.426) and had nine blocks to lead EWU to a four-set victory … She also had double-digit kills earlier in the conference season against Montana (Sept. 24) and Northern Arizona (Oct. 1) … Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team, and was selected by her teammates as the Most Improved Player along with fellow freshman Kelsey Julian.

High School: Fermantez is a 2011 graduate of Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama in Honolulu, Hawaii - arguably the most successful high school volleyball program on the islands … The Warriors have captured the Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I volleyball title for the last six-consecutive years … In Fermantez’s four-year career at Kamehameha, the Warriors have twice won the Interscholastic League of Honolulu regular-season title, while finishing second in 2009 and 2010 … Fermantez was named to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Fab 15 Team (All-State) in back-to-back years, and was a two-time All-ILH First-Team selection in 2009 and 2010 … She played a major role in securing Kamehemeha’s most recent state title in 2010, as she was one of six elite players named to the HHSAA Division I All-Tournament team … She recorded more than 30 kills and 15 blocks throughout the championships, including nine kills and six blocks in the final game against archrival Punahou … For her performance in the championship match, Fermantez was selected as the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Athlete of the Week … Fermantez has also played on a variety of competitive club teams on Oahu, including the ASICS Rainbow Volleyball Club that captured the 2007 Junior Olympic National Championship in the 14s division … She has also won four Aloha Region titles and three national qualifiers while playing with the ASICS Rainbow, Maunalani and Jammers clubs teams.
