Addie Webster recorded her second straight double-double as the Eastern Washington University women's volleyball team swept Montana 30-21, 30-22, 30-22 Saturday (Oct. 7) in Missoula, Mont.
This is the third straight victory for Eastern in the Big Sky Conference which now puts them at 10-7 overall and 3-5 in conference.
Webster had 16 kills and 18 digs for the Eagles. Against Montana State on Thursday (Oct. 5) she had 27 kills and 18 digs. Brittney Page added 13 kills and Chrystal Johnson had ten against the Bobcats.
The Eagles shutout the Bobcats offense, allowing them to hit only .083 for the match while Eastern hit .316. EWU had nine blocks to the seven for Montana and had 53 digs to their 27.
Eastern's win, coupled with a loss by Montana State, pushed the Eagles into sixth place in the conference race. The top six teams in conference will make the Big Sky Championships on November 16, with the winner of that tournament receiving the automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. The Eagles have been to the Big Sky Championships in each of the past ten years.
The next match for the Eagles is non-conference against Idaho Wednesday (Oct. 11) at 7:05 p.m. in Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. Big Sky play will continue Friday (Oct. 13) as the Eagles host Weber State at 7:05 p.m.
