Addie Webster gets a double-double for the fourth time in four matches as the Eastern Washington volleyball team beat Weber State (4-20, 1-9) 3-1 at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. (Oct. 13).


Weber State started off on a roll, leading the whole first game in a 30-26 victory. Eastern made a run to close the gap late in the game, but came up short. Determined to not allow an upset, the Eagles took the next three games by the scores of 30-16, 30-14 and 30-18, respectively. Eastern held Weber State in the second and third games to negative hitting, -.083 in the second game and -.057 in the third.


Eastern had three players with double-doubles. Webster had 21 kills and 17 digs, Brittney Page had 16 kills with 11 digs and Chrystal Johnson had 12 kills and 10 digs. Kerri Beck added 11 kills of her own, and Mandy Daniels had a match-high 21 digs.


Eastern finished the match with .292 hitting, while Weber State finished with a .046 hitting average.


Next up for the Eagles (12-7, 4-5) is a match with the Portland State Vikings (13-5, 8-1) Saturday (Oct. 14) at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. That match will be played at 7:05 p.m. Portland State is currently in second place in the Big Sky, with its only conference loss of the season coming to first place Sacramento State.
