Eastern Washington University volleyball player Brittney Page, a senior outside hitter from Vernon, B.C., was named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 9-16.
Page helped lead the Eagles to victories this week over Idaho, Weber State and Portland State, pushing Eastern to 13-7 overall and to fifth place in the BSC at 5-5. The Eagles have also won six-straight matches dating back to Sept. 30.
She averaged 3.75 kills per game, 1.50 blocks per game and a .388 hitting percentage. Page recorded a double-double in the Eastern victory over Weber State, with 16 kills and 11 digs. She finished the week with 45 kills, 24 digs and 18 total blocks.
As of Oct. 16, Page ranks fourth in the Big Sky in hitting percentage (.325) and kills per game (3.84).
On the opening week of the season back in August, Page was also awarded this honor as she led the Eagles to a 3-1 start.
This makes it the second week in a row Eastern was won such an honor as Addie Webster won this award for games played Oct. 2-9.
Page and the Eagles have a 12-day break before returning to action in the Big Sky Thursday, Oct. 26, hosting Idaho State at 7:05 p.m. in Reese Court in Cheney, Wash.
