An All-American as a senior in 2007, Carolee Geaudreau-Gutierrez finished eighth at the NCAA Championships with a 161-10 throw in the javelin to become just the second female in Eastern history at the time to earn All-America honors. She then participated in the 2007 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships where she finished fourth out of 18 competitors in the javelin with a throw of 173-3, just off her school and Big Sky Conference records of 175-7 (both still stand through the 2024 season). She placed second at the NCAA West Regional Championships in 2007 with her record-breaking throw of 175-7.
Gutierrez scored 34 Big Sky points in her career (indoors and outdoors), including a runner-up Big Sky finish in the javelin in 2007 (161-0). Gutierrez also set the school record in the discus with a throw of 160-9, which stood for eight years before it was broken in 2015 (169-0, Emma Murillo). It still stands at No. 2 in school history (through 2024 season), and her indoor best of 145-0 in the discus was and is still No. 3. Through 2024, she also currently ranks ninth in school history in the 20-pound weight throw indoors (58-1, ranked second at the time) and outdoors is now unranked in the shot put (45-6 1/2, then ranked fourth). She now resides in Priest River, Idaho, with her two children, Ezri Gutierrez (14) & Pablo A. Gutierrez (12).
