CHENEY, Wash. — As the 2025 season approaches, the Eagles have finalized their roster with the addition of eight new players. Head coach Jon Haruguchi is excited to announce the signing of seven freshmen and one transfer. The incoming freshmen are Judi Bolomboy, Mia Polloi, Sidney Gray, Quincey McCoy, Camryn Hagel, Olivia Burns, and Jailyn Davenport. Cassie Moeller, a transfer, will also be joining the team this season.

Judi Bolomboy | Middle Blocker | Fort Worth, Texas | 6'

Judi hails from Fort Worth, Texas, where she made a lasting impact at Central High School both athletically and academically. A dynamic presence on the basketball court, she earned MVP honors and was named First Team All-District, showcasing her leadership and skill as a top-tier player. Off the court, Judi maintained high academic standards, receiving multiple scholastic awards in recognition of her dedication in the classroom.

Haruguchi on Bolomboy

"We knew we needed to replace a lot of defense at the net from this past year and Judi fits the bill perfectly. She's a strong blocking presence and moves very well across the net. Her calm demeanor will also help us to stay even keel in tough matches. We are very excited for Judi to get out here and help us keep moving this program forward."

Judi on Eastern

"I chose eastern because of the amazing environment and strong sense of community I felt there. It really feels like a family-oriented place where I can grow not only as an athlete but as a person and teammate also. Everyone was so welcoming and I'm beyond excited to officially be an Eag!"

Mia Polloi | Middle Blocker | Hilo, Hawaii | 6'2"

Mia joins the program from Hilo, Hawaii, where she attended Kamehameha Schools Hawaii. A standout multi-sport athlete, she earned varsity letters in volleyball, swimming, and water polo. In 2024, she was named MVP of the BIIF Championships and played a key role in her team's victory at the 18U AAU Oceanic Open. Mia's versatility, competitive drive, and championship experience make her a strong addition to the roster.

Haruguchi on Polloi

"Mia brings a lot of versatility to the team this fall. While she has been playing in the middle, she has proved she can score and defend from either pin as well. She is a physical presence on the court and has a heavy arm. All her strengths combined with a great work ethic on the court are reasons we are so excited for her to join us."

Mia on Eastern

"I chose Eastern Washington because of its friendly environment and the strong community that has been created. It felt safe and supportive, and the volleyball team stood out to me because of their team chemistry, making it my ideal place to grow academically and athletically."

Sidney Gray | Middle Blocker | Winchester, Calif. | 6'

Sidney comes to Eastern from Winchester, Calif, where she attended Temecula Preparatory. She was a four-letter varsity winner in volleyball and was a CIF Champion.

Haruguchi on Gray

"Sidney came to us late in the recruiting process and I was so stoked to have found her still available. Sidney has a great motor, and she gives great effort from whistle to whistle. She is a strong offensive threat, and her lateral speed also makes her a solid blocker. When I evaluated Sidney, I could see she plays with a confidence in herself that serves her well and that will take her a long way in life."

Sidney on Eastern

"EWU's coaching staff, players and team culture were a perfect fit. It felt like home. I can't wait to spend these next four years in Cheney with my new team/family."

Quincey McCoy | Middle Blocker | Aurora, Colo. | 5'9"

Quincey joins the Eagles from Aurora, Colo., where she attended Cherokee Trail High School. A skilled athlete, she excelled as both a volleyball player and gymnast during her high school career. Her volleyball team advanced to the 2024 5A Colorado State Championships, and Quincey earned an honorable mention for her outstanding performance. Additionally, she qualified for the 2025 USA National Championships, showcasing her exceptional talent and versatility.

Haruguchi on McCoy

"Quincey is a tremendous athlete. Being a former gymnast, she possesses great speed, body awareness and work ethic. Her coaches all mentioned her ability to digest information and make necessary adjustments quickly. When you add all these things together it was an easy decision on our end to ask her to join our program. Quincey can attack and defend at a high level and we're looking forward to having her in our program."

Quincey on Eastern

"I chose Eastern because, I immediately felt a connection with all the coaches and players on my visit, and prior to that I had great conversations with the coaches about how I could make an impact and grow as a player at the college level. I loved the campus and appreciated how welcoming everyone was including the community in Cheney!"

Haruguchi on Hagel

"Camryn brings a feisty demeanor and wonderful energy on the defensive side of the ball. I watched her several times during the recruiting process and loved how she wasn't afraid to lead her team. Beyond her skills on the court, Camryn brings positive leadership qualities and I'm beyond excited to see the impact she'll make in our program."

She was also a three-time KHS Defensive Player of the Year, recognized for her hustle, consistency, and court awareness.

Haruguchi on Burns

"Olivia was such a welcome surprise to our program. I came across her while watching her teammate Judi Bolomboy and knew I wanted her in our gym. Olivia plays with a calm, determined presence and will complement our backrow play very well. Despite her outward appearance, she is a fiery competitor, and I am truly looking forward to working with her on a daily basis."

Olivia on Eastern

"From the very first conversation I had with the coaches from EWU I was excited about their program and felt like they were truly invested in their players.
