Quoting Coach Schuller"Weber State played good basketball tonight. I thought they played harder and smarter than we did, especially early. We kept digging ourselves holes as a result of a breakdown here or there, and we didn't shoot the ball well. It's tough to win on the road when you shoot 35 percent. We had a lot of good looks in the paint, and we just need to finish those shots next time."
Game NotesTonight's defeat marks EWU's first loss to Weber State in 15 meetings since a 73-58 setback in Ogden, Utah, back on Feb. 14, 2008.
Hayley Hodgins moved into fifth all-time on the Big Sky's career made three-pointers list with her three triples tonight. She now has 235 career three-pointers.
Up NextEastern will travel to Reno, Nev., this Sunday, Mar. 6, for the 2016 Big Sky Basketball Tournament. As the tournament's No. 2 seed, they will play either No. 7 Sacramento State or No. 10 Southern Utah in a quarterfinal game on Wednesday, Mar. 9, at 5:35 p.m. PST.
