The road warrior Eagles are back at home this week, taking on National Christian Collegiate Athletics Association member Portland Bible College.

The meeting will be the second-ever head-to-head matchup against the Arrows after a 107-25 win in EWU's 2019-20 season opener; believed to be the largest margin of victory in program history (82). Seven different Eagles scored 10+ points in the Eagles' first home game this season, also against a non-Division-I opponent in Walla Walla University (97-46 W).

It will also be one of only three non-conference home games for the Eagles this season and last before Big Sky play begins on Dec. 28; they'll host North Dakota State in early January (Jan. 6) as part of the Big Sky - Summit League Challenge.

This past week, Eastern earned a gritty, 73-68 road win over Air Force for the team's second victory of the season. The Eagles led by 15 at halftime, but the Falcons used a 13-2 run in the second half to get back into the game and take the lead with 5:31 left. It would be the only lead of the game for Air Force before Jake Kyman scored eight straight points to build a 71-62 lead with under two minutes on the clock. Kyman finished with a career-high 25 points to lead Eastern to the five-point win.

Eastern Washington faces a road test this week against the Cal Golden Bears. Eastern will put its 6-2 record up against a Cal team that is 8-2 this season. The two teams have a common opponent, after both dropping home games against No. 21 Gonzaga. The Eagles are currently 53rd in the NET rankings, while the Golden Bears are just above at 46th.

EWU put together a commanding 82-33 win over Walla Walla on Saturday (Dec. 9). Eastern matched a program record with 22 steals in the game and forced 31 turnovers against the Wolves. Bella Hays set a career-high for her young career with 15 points. Aaliyah Alexander and Andie Zylak both scored in double figures with 12 and 11 points respectively. The team had a 47.2 shooting percentage in the game, while holding Walla Walla to 26.7 percent from the floor.

With a 16.1 points per game average, Alexander ranks third on the Big Sky scoring list. The redshirt-sophomore is third in the conference with a 47.4 shooting percentage and an 88.5 free throw percentage. Alexander averages 1.8 made three-pointers a game to rank eighth. Jamie Loera carries a 5.4 assists per game, 2.4 steals per game and a 1.8 assist-to-turnover ratio to that all rank second in the Big Sky. In the paint, Milly Knowles leads Eastern and sits at ninth in the conference, averaging 6.5 rebounds per game.
