Eagle Men Finish First While Women Finish Third

MCMINNVILLE, Ore - The Eagles capped off their regular season on the road at the George Oja Invitational with an impressive showing from both squads. The men's team dominated the field, capturing first place with a total of 77 points, while the women's team turned in a strong performance of their own, securing third place overall.

"What a way to end the regular season," said Director of Track and Field / Cross Country Erin Tucker. "Anytime you get a win it is great. Kuddos to the men for ending the season on a dubb and the women for getting 3rd behind two NCAA Caliber teams. We have been on a great trajectory all season and I like where we are going into the conference championship. Next up is Bozeman and you all will not be disappointed!!! Go Eags!"

Women's 6K recap: Placing third with a score of 89 points only behind Boise State and Portland. The Eagles were led by Senior Nattie Ruzauskas placing 8th with a time of 21:17.60 which was a new personal best. Following right behind placing 9th place was Junior, Sara Sanders also earning a new personal best with a time of 21:24.0. Sophomore Emma Tomlinson also set a new personal record with a time of 22:16.50. 

Men's 8K recap: The Eastern men's team claimed first place with a score of 77 points, earning a strong team victory. Senior Conner Wirth led the Eagles with a fourth-place finish, setting a personal-best time of 23:55.82. Marcus Lemon followed closely, placing seventh with a new personal record of 24:08.14. Grady Fournier also posted a career-best performance, finishing 15th with a time of 24:20.04, while Owen Higgins recorded a personal-best 24:30.10 to place 16th. Rounding out the scoring efforts, Lucas Spurling set a personal record of 24:56.30 to take 43rd, and Trajn Swalstad achieved a new best of 25:17.00 to finish 74th.
