2015-16 Track and Field: Outdoor: Finished 11th in the shot put at the Big Sky Outdoor Championship with a throw of 49-9 3/4. Eight top-five performances in the shot put, discus, and hammer throw. Set shot put and discus personal bests at the Buc Scoring Invite with marks of 50-10 ¾ and 143-6, respectively. Set a hammer throw best of 146-6 in a second place finish at the Pelluer Invitational. Indoor: Redshirted.
High School: Obert competed in the shot put and discus at the 1A State Track and Field Championships in 2015. He recorded a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 56-5 1/4 at the championships and threw 161-9 in the discus. His personal best in the discus was during his junior year at the Cheney/East Valley meet in Deer Park where he placed first with a throw of 169-8.
