2015-16 Track and Field: Outdoor: Part of second place 4x100 team at the Big Sky Outdoor Championship. Three top-five finishes in the 100-meter dash, including first place at the Whitworth Twilight. Set a 100-meter personal best of 11.04 at Tom Gage, placing third. Indoor: Set a 60-meter personal best of 6.99 at the EWU Dual Meet. Finished fourth in the 55-meter at the Candy Cane with a time of 6.54.
2014-15 Track and Field: Outdoor: Finished second in the 100-meter at the Sam Adams Classic with a time of 11.14. Ran a personal best of 22.72 in the 200-meter at the Sam Adams. Indoor: Competed in the 60, and 200-meter dashes. Placed sixth in the 60-meter dash at the Idaho Indoor.
High School: Garcia had quite the senior season, qualifying for four separate events at the 2014 WIAA 2A State Championships. He placed sixth in the 100, seventh in the 200, fourth in the 4x100-meter relay, and won a state championship in the 4x400-meter relay. His best marks are in the 100 (11.05), 200 (22.72), and long jump (16-5 1/4). He also was a two-year letter winner on Steilacoom High School’s football team.
