2015-16 Track and Field: Â Outdoor: At the Buc Scoring Invite, placed first in the 200-meter dash, first in the 4x100 relay, and second in the 100-meter dash. Her 100-meter time was good for a personal best of 12.81. Indoor: Competed in the Big Sky Indoor Championship in the 200-meter, distance medley relay, and 4x400 relay. Placed first in the DMR with a time of 11:51.19. Took the 200-meter title at the WSU Indoor with a time of 26.32.
2014-15 Track and Field: Indoor: Finished sixth at the Candy Cane Invite with a 600-meter dash time of 1:42.67. Outdoor: Competed in four events at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships. Ran her career best of 55.57 in the 400-meter at the championships, and was part of the third place 4x100 relay team. Finished first in the 400-meter and third in the 200-meter at the Sam Adams Classic. Ran a personal best 24.96 in the 200-meter at the WSU Invite, taking first place.
2013-14 Track and Field: Indoor: Monson ran 7.70 in the 55-meter dash at the Candy Cane VI meet to place third. At the UW Indoor Preview, she ran 27.12 in the 200. She had a season best in the 400 at the Idaho Vandal Indoor meet with a time of 59.23. At the Big Sky Conference Championships in Pocatello, Idaho, she competed on the 4x400 meter relay team that ran 3:55.32 to place 11th. Outdoor: At the Big Sky Conference Championships in Flagstaff, Ariz., Monson competed on the 4x100 meter relay team that ran 47.17 to place ninth and rank ninth all-time at Eastern. She also ran on the 4x400 meter relay team that ran a time of 3:47.54 to place sixth and rank third all-time at Eastern. She placed second in the 400 at the Duane Hartman Invite with a time of 59.23. She also had a personal best of 25.50 in the 200 at the OSU High Performance meet.
High School: Monson ran on the 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams for Inglemoor, which placed fifth (1:43.86) and seventh (3:59.32) at the WIAA 4A State Championships. She finished fifth at the 4A KingCo Championships in the 200 in a time of 26.14. Monson also hit her personal-best time of 60.24 in the 400 at the 4A Bi-District Championships. Her other best times came in the 100 (13.02) and 200 (26.09).
Personal: Intends to major in exercise science. Born 6/21/95 in Seattle, Wash. Her parents are Clay Monson and Erin Whalen. Her twin sister, Paige, is also a sprinter at Eastern.
