2016-17: Sanford made the conference squad for the Big Sky Conference cross country championships as a true freshman. He placed 84th with a time of 28:15.9.
High School: Second Team All-Greater Spokane League as senior in track. Sanford has personal bests in the 800 with a time of 2:07.33, 1,600 with a time of 4:33.02, and 3,200 with a time of 9:49.55. Was a six-time letter winner for Mead HS in cross country and track.
Personal: Born in Germany … Son of Robert and Laura Sanford … Intends to major in computer science.
