2020-21 Track & Field: Outdoor: Advanced to the Big Sky Conference Championships in three events. Finished in first place as part of the 4x100 relay team with a time of 40.75 (third-best in school history). Finished second in the 100 meters with a time of 10.52 (fourth-best in school history), tying a PR previously set at the Oregon State PNW Team Clash. Ran a 21.65 in the preliminaries of the 200 meters but did not advance to the finals. Set a personal best in the 200 meters (21.29) at the Whitworth Essential Invite, seventh-best in school history.

2019-20 Track & Field: Indoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. He entered the Big Sky Conference Championships ranked third in the 60 meters (6.85 to rank fifth all-time at Eastern), but failed to make the finals when his preliminary time of 6.93 ranked ninth. He had a time of 6.47 in the 55 meters at the Candy Cane XII Open to rank 12th all-time at EWU. His career-best time of 22.02 in the 200-meters was enough to earn himself first place at the Idaho Open. At the UW Preview, Mathews finished in sixth in the 60-meters and ran a career best time of 6.85.

2017-18 Track & Field: Outdoor: He placed fourth in the 100 and was a part of the 4x100 team who finished first with a time of 40.57 at the Big Sky Conference Championships. He had a wind-aided time of 10.65 in the preliminaries and then bettered that with a wind-aided 10.58 time in the finals. At the Pelluer he placed second in the 100 and was a part of the 4x100 relay team that placed first. Set a personal best in the 100 with a time of 10.71 placing seventh at the Beach Pacific Coast Intercollegiate. At the OSU High Performance Meet he placed fourth in the 100 and was a part of the 4x100 that placed first with time of 41.57. Indoor: Placed 16th at the Husky Classic in the 60 with a time of 7.13. At the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships he placed 14th in the 60 with a time of 6.98.

2016-17 Track & Field: Outdoor: Was a part of the 4x100 relay team that took first at the 45th Pelluer Invitational with a time of 41.29. The team also took first at the Spokane Memorial Series with a 41.00 time. At the Big Sky Championships, the relay team earned seventh with a time of 41.86. Individually, Mathews took second in the 100-meter at the Al Manuel Northwest Invitational with a personal-best time of 10.73. Indoor: Earned fifth in the 60 at the Big Sky Championships with a time of 6.91. His personal-best in the event was during the prelims the day prior. He also took first in the 200 with a time of 22.14 at the Idaho Duals. He also finished first in the 60 at the Vandal Indoor Innovational with a time of 6.97

2015-16 Track & Field: Outdoor: Competed in the 100-meter and 4x100 relay at the Big Sky Outdoor Championship, finishing second in the relay. Five top-three finishes competing in the 100-meter dash. At the WAR 9, set a personal best of 10.47 and finished second. Set a 200-meter personal best of 21.73 at the Mt. SAC Relays.  Indoor: Competed in the 60-meter dash at the Big Sky Indoor Championship. Placed third in both the 55-meter and 60-meter dash at the Candy Cane and WSI Indoor, respectively. Set a personal best in the 60-meter with a time of 6.97.

High School: During his senior year at Fife High School, Mathews ran personal bests in each event he competed in. In the 100 meters, Mathews ran a personal best of 10.65 at the River Ridge meet in Tacoma where he placed first. At that same meet, Mathews placed first in two more events, the 200 meters (21.54) and the 400 meters (51.27). Mathews competed in the 100 (11.32), 200 (22.24), and 4x400 meter relay (3:41.72) at the 2A West Central District III Championships. He also competed in the 100 at the 2A State Track and Field Championships.

Personal: Majoring in health & fitness education.
