Career Bests:
Indoor: 60m, 6.87
Outdoor: 100m, 10.66 | 200m, 21.83

2020-21 Track & Field: Outdoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. After only one year of competition, he earned the No. 8 spot on Eastern’s all-time top-10 in the 100 meters (10.66). He ran his personal best at the Big Sky Championships where he placed sixth overall and scored three points for the team. He also competed in the 200-meter preliminary round where he set another career best of 21.83. Additionally, Adekanbi had three collegiate wins, two individually at the Whitworth H.I.R. Invite in the 100 meters (10.72) and 200 meters (21.86), and the other at the OSU High Performance Meet where he ran a leg on the 4x100 relay team (41.32).

Everett CC: Adekanbi competed two years at Everett from 2018-2020, and participated in the NWAC Track & Field Championships in 2019. Adekanbi held the fastest 100 meters time in the NWAC for most of the 2019 season, and then went on to finish second, at the NWAC Championships by only .07 seconds, running a time of 10.97 in the 100 meters. He also ran 22.34 to finish fifth in the 200 meters, and he was a part of the 4x100 relay that placed fifth. His personal bests include 6.87 in the 60 meters, 10.72 in the 100, and 21.86 in the 200. Adekanbi was a two-time winner of the male track and field athlete of the year award, and he also made the Dean’s List at Everett Community College.

High School: A 2016 graduate from Nathan Hale High School, Adekanbi competed three years in track and field. As a freshman he advanced to the 3A District Championships in the 100 and 200 meters. He also participated in the 3A State Championship meet his sophomore and junior year, advancing in the 4x100 relay and the 100 meters as a sophomore, and competing in the 4x100 relay again as a junior. He competed in the USATF Regional Junior Olympics in 2014 and 2015. In 2014, Adekanbi and his 4x100 relay team competed in the USATF JO National Championships. In 2015, he was part of a 4x100 relay that ran 43.74 and placed first to win the event at JO Regionals. He had personal bests of 7.03 in the 60 meters and 10.87 in the 100. Aside from track and field, Adekanbi also played football for Nathan Hale High.

Personal: Majoring in communication studies. He plans to be a promoter and a marketer for small businesses, with hopes of eventually starting his own business.
