Annual Giving
The Eastern Washington University Department of Athletics is committed to both academic and athletic excellence. Our bold vision would not be possible without the generous annual contributions of EAF donors who understand the critical role of private support. Below are various annual giving opportunities.
EAF General Fund
Unrestricted gifts are the most critical and help fuel Eagles Athletics by providing the necessary funds for scholarships for over 300 student-athletes, which costs nearly $4 million on an annual basis. Priority Points and EAF member benefits are only accrued through gifts to the EAF General Fund. In addition, all seating and tailgating minimum donation requirements must be made to the EAF General Fund.
Excellence Funds
In addition to supporting scholarships for our student-athletes, donors have the opportunity to provide resources to our Excellence Funds to help create a first-class experience for our student-athletes. Gifts to these Excellence Funds generally assist in funding recruiting needs, training equipment, team travel, cutting-edge technology, strength & conditioning supplements, facility enhancements, and other immediate needs for the programs.
Athletic Director's Discretionary
This fund supports all 14 Varsity Sports and allows EWU Athletics the flexibility to determine and direct funds to the greatest areas of need. Distributions are determined by the Director of Athletics.
Donors who wish to make a contribution to a specific sport or service area may do so through the following Excellence Funds as well:

- Women's Cross Country/Track & Field
- Football
- Women's Golf
- Women's Soccer
- Men's Tennis
- Women's Tennis
- Volleyball
- Cheerleading
