Biography

2012 Cross Country: Aftersitting out most of the season recovering from a knee injury,Curnutt placed 77th at the Big Sky Championships with a time of31:23.5, finishing fifth for the Eagles.

2011-12: Indoor:Curnutt ran his indoor personal-best in the 800 at the HuskyClassic, recording a time of 1:52.69 to place 21st overall. He alsocompeted in the mile at the Idaho Vandal Indoor, where he ran atime of 4:22.90 to place 10th. He reached the BSC IndoorChampionships in the 800, placing 10th in the prelims and missingfinals by .76 seconds. Outdoor: Curnutt hit his best 800time of the 2012 outdoor season at the Al Manuel Invite, running1:53.07 and finishing third. He placed 10th in the 800 prelims atthe BSC Outdoor Championships, missing finals by .18 seconds. Heran his season-best in the 1,500 at the Whitworth Twilight Meet,placing sixth with a time of 4:03.45. He was selected to both thewinter and spring Big Sky All-Academic teams.

2011 Cross Country: He placed50th at the Big Sky Cross Country Championships inPocatello, Idaho, where he ran a time of 28:14.89 to finish fourthon the team after being a late addition to the roster.

2010-11: Hampered withinjuries, Curnutt was only able to compete in one meet the entireyear, that being the Sam Adams Classic, where he ran a time of4:28.45 in the 1,500, placing eighth overall.

2010 Cross Country:Redshirted.

2009-10: Indoor:Redshirted. Outdoor: Curnutt was Eastern’s top 800runner, recording a personal-best time of 1:51.67 at the OregonRelays. He qualified for the BSC Outdoor Championships, placing15th with a time of 1:56.15. He ran the second leg on the 4x400relay, which placed second in the Big Sky with a time of 3:13.41,good for fifth all-time at Eastern. He ran a personal-best time of4:00.81 in the 1,500 at the WAR 3, placing eighth overall. He alsoran the 400 at the Dusty Lane Open, clocking a time of 50.77 andfinishing sixth overall. Curnutt was named to the fall and springBig Sky All-Academic teams.

2009 Cross Country: Finished48th at the 2009 Big Sky Cross Country Conference Championships inGreely, Colo., where he had a time of 28:22.6 to help the Eagle menclinch a fifth-place finish. Curnutt competed in the NCAA WestRegional Championships in Eugene, Ore., where he finished 179th(36:15.73).

High School: Curnutt was afour-year letter winner for the Mead Panthers in both track andcross country. He was 11th at the 4A State Championships in crosscountry in 2008. He also had finishes of fifth (2008) and second(2009) in the 800 at the 4A State Championships in track. Curnuttwas a member of three different 4A State Championship teamsincluding twice in cross country (2007-08) and once in track(2009). His personal-bests in high school came in the 800 (1:52.4),1,600 (4:24) and 5,000 (15:52).
