2012-13 Track and Field:Indoor: Sorensen ran a time of 8:58.16 in the 3,000 at theUW Indoor Preview, placing 53rd. Outdoor: He ran hisseason-best time of 9:26.87 in the 3,000 steeplechase on twodifferent occasions, including an 11th-place-finish at the BSCOutdoor Championships as well as an eight-place-finish in the opensection at the Mt.Sac Relays. His best time in the 1,500 was3:58.40, which came at the Beach Invitational.

2011 Cross Country: Competingas the No. 3 runner for the Eagles most of the season, Sorensenmoved ahead as Eastern's top runner at the Big Sky Championships,finishing 19th with a time of 26:20.59. Also had three other top 25finishes, including 25th at the Clash of the Inland NW (19:29 6K),23rd at the Sundodger Invitational (25:06.77 8K) and 13th at theMontana Invitational (26:03 8K). He finished the season at the WestRegionals In Palo Alto, Calif., where he placed 96th in the 10K runwith a time of 31:24.
2010-11 Track and Field:Indoor: At the BSC Indoor Championships, Sorensen finished12th in the mile with a time of 4:33.82. He also ran the 1,200 legon the distance medley relay team that placed sixth at the IndoorChampionships with a time of 10:28.91. Sorensen reached hispersonal-best in the mile at the UW Invitational, clocking a timeof 4:15.82 and placing 30th overall. He also ran the 1,200 leg onthe distance medley relay team at the UW Invitational, which ran10:06.28 to rank second all-time at Eastern. Outdoor:Sorensen finished 11th at the Big Sky Championships with apersonal-best time of 9:21.14 in the 3,000 steeplechase. He alsofinished ninth in the 1,500, clocking a season-best time of3:56.62.
2010 Cross Country: Sorensenfinished 40th at the Big Sky Conference Championships with a timeof 24:01.98. His time helped the Eagles finish in fifth place. Hewas 20th at the Inland NW Cross Country Classic with a time of25:33.2. He also finished 19th at the Montana Invitational (26:31)and 57th at the Sundodger Invitational (25:50.38).
2009-10 Track and Field:Indoor: Sorensen was a member of both the distance medleyrelay and 4x400 relay teams at the BSC Indoor Championships. He ranthe 800 leg on the distance medley relay, which placed fifth with atime of 10:15.19 to rank fourth all-time at Eastern. He was theanchor leg on the 4x400 that placed sixth with a time of 3:18.93.Sorensen had two indoor personal-best during his freshman season,including 8:44.85 in the 3,000 (UW Husky Classic) and 15:10.01 inthe 5,000 (UW Invitational). That 5,000 time put him 10th all-timeat Eastern. His best mile time of the season was 4:20.84 at theIdaho Vandal Collegiate. Outdoor: Sorensen placed 12th intwo events at the BSC Outdoor Championships, the 1,500 (4:05.77)and the 3,000 steeplechase (9:53.26). He ran his season-best in the800, clocking a time of 1:55.55 at the Pelluer Invite to placesecond. He also hit his personal-best of 3:54.33 in the 1,500 atthe Oregon Relays, placing seventh. His season-best in the 3,000steeplechase was 9:36.40 at the WSU Cougar Invitational.
2009 Cross Country: Sorensenfinished 39th at the 2009 Big Sky Cross Country ConferenceChampionships in Greely, Colo., where he had a time of 27:57.2 tohelp the Eagle men clinch a fifth-place finish. Sorensen competedin the NCAA West Regional Championships in Eugene, Ore., where hefinished 146th (34:25.77). He was also chosen for the Fall Big SkyAll-Academic team.
High School: Sorensen placedfifth at the 4A WIAA State Championships in cross country hissenior year, running 15:30 on the 5,000 meter course. He had placed14th and 24th in his previous two seasons at the 3A StateChampionships. In track, Sorensen placed eighth in the 800 at the4A State Championships with a personal-best time of 1:54.81. Duringhis junior year, he placed third in the 1,600 (4:19.39) and sixthin the 3,200 (9:24.05, personal-best) at the 3A StateChampionships. At the Brooks WA/OR Meet of Champions, He won the1,600 with a personal-best time of 4:18.11.
