2023-2024 | Track & Field
  • Indoor:
    • Competed in eight meets during the season.
    • Set a personal best in the 600-meters at the Spokane Invitational, finishing 7th with a time of 1:22.89.
    • Set a personal best in the Mile at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial, finishing 14th with a time of 4:22.13.
    • Competed in the DMR at the Riverfront Invitational, finishing 1st with a time of 10:14.95.
      • This performance ranked 9th on EWU Men’s All-Time Indoor DMR.
    • Represented EWU at the Big Sky Indoor Championship, competing in the:
      • 800-meters, finishing 9th in the preliminaries with a personal best time of 1:51.78
        • This performance ranked 5th on EWU Men’s All-Time Indoor 800-meters.
      • 4x400-meter Relay, finishing 8th with a time of 3:20.41.
      • DMR, finishing 8th with a time of 10:13.63.
        • This performance ranked 7th on EWU Men’s All-Time Indoor DMR.
    • Winter Big Sky All-Academic Team.

2022-2023 | Track & Field
  • Indoor:
    • Represented EWU at the 2023 Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championships.
    • Ran his fastest time in the mile at the 2023 WSU Open where he finished 40th with a time of 4:25.72.
  • Outdoor:
    • Competed at the 2023 Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track Meeting.
    • At the Oregon State High Performance he set a personal best in the 1,500-meters where he finished 8th with a time of 3:58.90.

2021-2022 Track & Field
  • Indoor:
    • Competed at the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships in two events.
    • Ran his fastest time in the mile at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open where he finished 7th with a time of 4:33.64.
  • Outdoor:
    • Competed at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
    • At the OSU High Performance Meet he ran a personal best in the 1,500-meters placing 8th with a time of 3:59.22.

2020-2021 Track & Field
  • Outdoor:
    • Advanced to the Big Sky Conference Championships in the 800 meters where he finished 13th overall with a time of 1:53.67.
    • Prior to the championships, Kness set a personal record in the 800 meters at the Whitworth Twilight Invitational (1:52.21).
    • Had a PR in the 1,500 meters at the OSU High Performance Meet where he ran 3:59.40.
 
2020-2021 Cross Country
  • Advanced to the 2021 Big Sky Winter Championships and finished second best for Eastern at 63rd (27:2.9).
  • He also competed in the Idaho Orchards Invitational finishing third best for the Eagles with an 8,000-meter time of 26:32.3, and placing 14th overall.

2019-2020 Track and Field
  • Indoor:
    • Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team.
    • Finished in 11th place at the Boise State Challenge with a career-best time of 1:59.43.
    • During the Idaho Open, ran the mile in a career-best time of 4:36.77 to finish 23rd.

2019 Cross Country
  • Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team.
  • Finished 72nd at the Big Sky Conference Championships with a time of 30:19.9 on an 8,000-meter course in Greeley, Colo.
  • Went on to finish 180th at the NCAA Division I West Region Championships in Colfax., Wash., with a career-best time of 34:00.6 on a 10,000-meter course.
  • Recorded a career-best time of 26:31.1 in the 8K at the Charles Bowles Willlamette Invitational where he placed 56th.
  • During the Clash of the Inland Northwest, Kness ran a career best time of 20:10.4 in the 5.75K and placed 61st.

High School
  • As a senior, placed third in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:53.88 at the WIAA 3A State Championship Meet.
  • During the same event, placed 4th in the 1600-meter race with a personal-best time of 4:16.67.
  • Finished 3rd in the mile with a best of 4:20.34 at the Portland Track Festival High Performance meet.
