2019-2020 Track and Field: Indoor: Competed in just one meet, competing in the mile and 4x400 relay at the Vandal Open.

2019 Cross Country: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. Christner finished 93rd at the Charles Bowles Willlamette Invitational with a time of 27:24.0. He did not compete at the Big Sky Championships.

2018-19 Track and Field: Outdoors: Redshirted.
Indoors: Christner set a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:44.72 at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial open.

2018 Cross Country: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. Christner competed in the Big Sky Conference Championships and later went on to run in the NCAA DI West Region Championships. At the Montana Invitational he set a personal best in the 4.97 mile (27:09.1), earning himself 50th place.

2017-18 Track and Field: Outdoor: Christner earned a ninth-place finish with a 4:31.77 time at the Al Manuel Northwest Dual in the 1,500 meters. He set a personal best in the 1,500 with a time of 4:19.68 at the WAR XI. At the Buc Scoring Meet he set a best in the 5,000 meters with 16:09.70 time. He also set a personal best in the 800 meters with a 2:11.99 time at the Sam Adam Classic.
Indoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. At the Vandal Invitational he placed 12th in the 3,000 meter with a personal-best time of 9:44.39. Set a personal best in the mile at the Idaho Dual with a time of 4:46.98. Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team.

High School: Graduated from North Central HS in 2017. Christner earned third place at the 3A WIAA State XC Meet during his senior year with a finishing time of 15:46.5 after earning 19th the previous year. His personal record in the 5,000 meters was also during his senior year with a time of 15:40.5.During track and field, his main events were the 800 meters, 1,600 and 3,200. His personal best in the 800 was during his senior year with at time of 1:58.22. His personal best in the 1,600 was 4:24.92 and 9:35.32 in the 3,200.
