***McGee ranks 10th and Kraemer is 3rd on the Big Sky all-time list.
Note: No. 10 on the Big Sky all-time list outdoors is 25-6 in the long jump (Idaho’s Dan O’Brien in 1989) and 52-5 1/2 in the triple jump.

Career: McGee has won six of the last eight Big Sky Conference triple jump and long jump titles, including a triple jump title indoors in 2020. Prior to that, he had a clean sweep with titles both indoors and outdoors in 2019 in both the triple jump and long jump. He also won the 2018 outdoor title in the long jump and was second in the triple jump, but earlier that season indoors he wasn’t as successful. He failed to even make the finals in the triple jump and finished 12th, and was just sixth in the long jump. That came after a promising freshman season in 2017 when he placed in the top seven in all four competitions, including a long jump title indoors.

2019 NCAA Championships: The quest for McGee to become the school’s first men’s All-American in track and field in 18 years came up two places short on June 7, 2019, he placed 18th in the triple jump at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. McGee’s best jump was 51-9, just 3 3/4 inches from 16th and earning second team All-America honors. With the 17th-best mark among the 24 athletes advancing to the NCAA Championships, McGee finished nearly just as he entered. His flight included seven jumpers all with marks exceeding his best this season of 52-4 3/4. McGee fouled on his first and third attempts, but had a 51-9 effort on his second attempt. He would have had a jump of nearly 54 feet to make the finals. Just a junior, McGee made his NCAA Championships debut two days earlier in the long jump and fouled on all three jumps. The top eight finishers earn first team All-America status, while the next eight earn second team accolades. The No. 17-24 finishers receive honorable mention. McGee was one of only four athletes to advance to the NCAA Championships in both events, and Eastern's first-ever outdoors. Eastern’s last outdoor men’s All-American was Ryan Cole in the javelin in 2001, and that same year Kurt Kraemer was an All-American in the triple jump indoors. McGee is the first Eagle to advance to the national meet since 2014 when Catie Arrigoni made it in the 3000-meter steeplechase and Emma Murillo qualified in the javelin, and Jordan Arakawa qualified in the hammer throw. The only other male NCAA Division I All-American besides Kraemer was Greg Jones in the high jump outdoors in 1986, and only three females have earned All-America status since EWU moved to NCAA Division I in the 1983-84 school year. Although McGee is the first Eastern male or female to advance to the outdoor championships in two events, Kurt Kraemer competed in the long jump and triple jump at the 2001 indoor championships. Earlier in the 2019 season McGee broke Kraemer’s indoor long jump record (25-6 and 25 3 1/4, respectively), but McGee is still chasing Kraemer’s indoor triple jump record (51-9 3/4 to 53-5 1/2, respectively).

Head Coach Stan Kerr on McGee: “I feel Keshun gave us one of the finest years ever for an EWU jumper, It may not have ended the way we imagined, but this national experience will pay nice dividends in his senior season for him.  He’s a special athlete and we are deeply proud of the body of work he and (jumps) coach (Dave) Nielsen crafted this year.”

2019-2020 Track and Field: Indoor: McGee won his seventh Big Sky Conference title at the league championships in Pocatello, Idaho. McGee led the competition after his first jump of the day of 49-6 1/2 and was never surpassed. He followed with a trio of 50+ jumps, including a 51-3 on his final attempt to come 6 1/2 inches from his career best. It was McGee's seventh Big Sky Conference title overall indoors and outdoors, and third-straight in the triple jump. No male has ever won that many titles, and only Joyce Rainwater with eight women's sprinting titles has had more in the EWU program in 33 years as a member of the Big Sky. McGee also played third the day before in the long jump with a jump of 24-3, and has now earned 10 All-Big Sky Conference honors. That equals the 10 Kurt Kraemer had from between 1999 and 2003, also in the long jump and triple jump, as well as the high jump. Rainwater also had 10 top-three finishes. McGee entered the Big Sky competition as the leader in the triple jump (51-6 1/2) and was ranked fourth in the long jump (24-3 3/4), and was champion in each event both indoors and outdoors a year earlier.

2018-19 Track and Field: Outdoor: McGee advanced to the NCAA Championships in the triple jump by placing sixth overall with a personal-best mark of 52-4 3/4 at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Sacramento, Calif., on May 25. Two days earlier in the same meet, he placed eighth in the long jump with a mark of 25-1 1/4 to punch his first ticket to the final 24 in Austin, Texas. He won his EWU record sixth Big Sky men's title, winning the triple jump at the Big Sky Conference Championships to give him a 4-of-4 sweep of jumping titles indoors and outdoors in 2019. McGee took the lead for good in the triple jump competition with a 50-11 effort on his fourth attempt, and won by nearly a foot. No other Eagle male has won more than four career Big Sky titles, and McGee now has six, including a school-record 25-4 1/2 effort to win the long jump one day earlier. McGee entered the postseason with what was then a school-record mark of 25-2 at the Beach Invitational on April 19 (the second-best mark in the Big Sky entering the championships). That broke the 40-year-old previous record of 25-1 1/4 by Vic White in 1979. McGee entered the league championships ranked first in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 50-10. Indoor: He won the long jump on the first day of the Big Sky Conference Championships in Bozeman, Mont., then triumphed in the triple jump the next day with a leap of 51-5. He became the second Eastern competitor to sweep the long jump and triple titles indoors, with Eastern Hall of Famer Kurt Kraemer claiming both in 2001. His winning long jump of 25-6 set a new EWU school record, breaking the previous record of 18 years set by Kurt Kraemer in 2001.

2017-2018 Track and Field: Outdoor: Placed first in the long jump and the triple jump at the Buc Scoring Meet. At the Pelluer Invitational he placed first in the long jump and the triple jump. At the Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships he placed first in the long jump and second in the triple jump. He placed 35th in the long jump and 33rd in the triple jump at the NCAA West Preliminary Round. Indoor: At the Candy Cane he placed first in the long jump and the triple jump. Set a personal best in the triple jump with a jump of 51-9 3/4 placing second at the Husky Classic. At the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships he placed sixth in the long jump and 12th in the triple jump.

2016-17 Track and Field: Outdoor: Earned fifth in the triple jump at the Big Sky Championships with a mark of 48-8 3/4. Also took seventh in the long jump with a mark of 23-6. At the 45th Pelluer Invitational, he took first in the long jump with a mark of 23-11 1/2. His personal-best in the long jump was at Pacific Beach Intercollegiate with a mark of 24-3 3/4 with his triple jump mark at the MT. SAC Relays with 49-6 1/2. Indoor: As a freshman, he was crowned the long jump champion at the Big Sky Championships with a 25-0 mark. He also took second in the triple jump with a 51-1 mark. With this accomplishments, he was given the Big Sky Freshman of the Year Award for the first time in EWU history.
