2018-2019 Track & Field: Outdoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic Team. At the Big Sky Track & Field Championships, Beard earned all-league honors by finishing third in the hammer throw with a distance of 190-4. At the Beach Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, Beard placed ninth in the hammer throw with a personal-best distance of 194-7, which ranks 10th on Eastern’s all-time outdoor bests list. 2017-2018 Track and Field: Outdoor: At the Pelluer Invitational he placed second in the hammer with a throw of 185-7. Set a personal best in the hammer with a throw of 194-7 placing ninth at the Beach Pacific Coast Intercollegiate. At the OSU High Performance meet he placed second with a throw of 191-9. At the Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships he placed third with a throw of 190-4. Indoor: Placed first in the weight throw at the Candy Cane with a throw of 53-1. At the Husky Classic he placed 12th in the weight throw. Set a personal best in the weight throw with a throw of 58-4 3/4 placing seventh at the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Azusa Pacific College: Beard had a personal best of 181-2 1/2 in the hammer along with a personal best of 54-7 in the weight throw during his time at Azusa Pacific College. He was also named the Pac-West Conference freshman of the year.
High School: Beard earned varsity letters all four years in high school. He was the state champion in the hammer during his junior year with a 181-9 mark and was the runner up with a personal best of 198-4 mark during senior year. As a senior at Kamiak in 2016, Beard was second in the discus with a throw of 149-5 at the Wesco/Kingco Bi-District Championship, then went on to finish 11th in that event at the WIAA 4A State Championships with a mark of 139-11. He also had personal bests in the 12-pound hammer with a throw of 198-4 at the Washington State Hammer Championships (2nd), 16-pound hammer with a throw of 199-2 at the Nike Eason Invitational (1st), and shot put with a throw of 45-1 3/4 (1st). As a junior, Beard threw a personal best 159-8 in the shot put at the Wesco 4A Championships where he took first place to advance to State. He had a mark of 156-4 at the State 4A Championships where earned himself sixth place.
