2017-18 Track and Field: Outdoor: He set a personal best of 4:32.82 with a tenth-place finish in the 1,500-meter run at the Al Manuel Northwest Dual. At the WAR XI he set a best of 16:07.89 in the 5,000-meter run. Egberg also earned his best finish of seventh-place in the 5,000-meter run at the Pelluer Invitational with a 16:34.32 time. 

HS: Graduated from Tahoma HS in 2017. He was an eight time letter athlete. In cross country, he competed with his team in the 4A WIAA State Cross Country Championships three times. His junior year he helped them to win the championship. His highest state finish was 25th-place in his senior year, and a personal best of 16:05.9 in the 5,000 meters. Running in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters in track and field, he set two personal bests in his senior year. He had times of 4:35.27in the 1600 and 9:48.88 in the 3200.

Personal: Major undecided, but is considering athletic training. He has a 3.54 gpa through his first year at Eastern.
