Biography
U.S. Air Force Academy: Hazen competed for theU.S. Air Force Academy in both cross country and track and field asa freshman, redshirting both sports her sophomore year. Sherecorded a career-best time of 5:17.69 (adjusted for altitude) inthe mile during a third-place finish at the Air ForceInvitational.
High School: Hazen is a 2011 graduate ofRichland High School in Richland, Wash., where she was a part ofthe academic state champion team in cross country as a freshman.She served as team captain for both cross country and track andfield in 2010-11 and was a two-time state qualifier in crosscountry. Hazen was a Columbia Basin Student-Athlete selection foracademic, student achievement and community service. She graduated10th in her class and received the top scholarship awarded by theKiwanis Club.
Personal: Pre-law/government is her intendedmajor, with aspirations of attending law school. Born 5/10/93 inWenatchee, Wash., her parents are James and Debby Hazen.
