2013-14 Track and Field: Indoor: Redshirted. Outdoor: Banchero finished 11th in the discus at the Big Sky Championships in Flagstaff, Ariz., with a throw of 152-2. He also finished seventh at the OSU High Performance meet in the discus with a toss of 156-4. He had a season-best throw of 145-8 at the Dusty Lane Invitational in Spokane, Wash.
High School: In a winning effort, Banchero launched a throw of 185-9 in the discus at the 3A Sea-King District Championships, a mark that was second in the state of Washington. He was second in the discus (174-5) and third in the shot put (personal best of 52-8) at the WIAA 3A State Championships. Banchero also advanced to state in the discus his junior and sophomore seasons, placing seventh in 2012 and 14th in 2011. He competed at the BorderDuel Track Classic, placing first in the discus (177-11) and sixth in the shot put (49-4 1/2). Banchero broke the school record in the discus and also was a letterwinner three times in track, twice in football and once in baseball. He also had a personal-best time of 12.34 in the 100.
