2013-14 Track and Field: Indoor: Redshirted. Outdoor: Redshirted.

High School: Swanson won the javelin at the WIAA 2A State Championships with a toss of 180-1. His personal best of 189-5 came in a first-place finish at the Prosser Rotary Invitational. He placed 11th as a junior at the WIAA 3A State Championships with a throw of 165-2. Swanson also competed in the shot put (42-1 1/2) and discus (103-5).
