2011-12: Indoor:Coombs’ season best of 9.30 in the 60 hurdles came at theIdaho Vandal Indoor, where she placed ninth overall. She alsoplaced second in the 55 hurdles at the Candy Cane Invite with aseason-best time of 8.70. Outdoor: She placed second atthe BSC Outdoor Championships with a season-best throw of 151-6 inthe javelin. She qualified for the NCAA DI West Preliminary Roundin the javelin, where her throw of 137-4 placed her 32nd overall.Coombs was selected to the winter and spring Big Sky All-Academicteams as well as the USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
2010-11: Recovering from Tommy John surgery in thesummer, Coombs redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
2009-10: Indoor:Coombs qualified for the BSC Indoor Championships in the 55hurdles, where she had a personal-best time of 8.55 in thepreliminary round, ranking tenth all-time at Eastern. Coombs' besttime in the 60 hurdles occurred at the Idaho Vandal Collegiate,where she clocked a time of 9.07 to rank fourth all-time atEastern. Outdoor: Coombs qualified not only for the BSCchampionships but also the NCAA Regional Meet after having animpressive performance at the Oregon Relays. She had a throw of155-5 to place second in the elite section of the javelin throw.During the preliminary rounds of the javelin at the BSC OutdoorChampionships, Coombs was hindered with an injury to her elbow,limiting her to a throw of 122-8 and preventing her from defendingher title.
2008-09: Indoor: Her season-besttime in the 60 hurdles of 9.44 and high jump of 4-11 came at theRunner’s Soul Open. Outdoor: Coombs won theBig Sky Conference Championships in the javelin with a career-bestmark of 163-1 to rank third in school history and break the meetrecord. She went on to finish sixth at the NCAA West Regionals witha throw of 153-4 and finished 25th at the NCAA Championships with amark of 142-6. Coombs also competed at the USATF NationalChampionships, placing 15th with a throw of 150-5. She finished12th in the heptathlon at the BSC Championships with 3,835 pointsand 15th in the long jump with an effort of 14-1 3/4. She was namedto the spring Big Sky All-Academic team.
