2010-11: Indoor: Kassa competed in theheptathlon at the 2010 Candy Cane Invite, scoring 4459 points andplacing fifth, with his highest scores coming in the 55 (6.63,837), high jump (6-6 3/4, 803) and long jump (22-1 1/2, 753). Thescore put Kassa sixth all-time at Eastern. He injured his achillesat the Jackson Invitational, putting him out for the rest of theseason. Outdoor: Redshirted.
High School: Kassa was nostranger to the State 2A Championships while running for AnacortesHigh School, qualifying all four years in his career. He made it tothe podium in nine events and stood atop the podium twice hissenior year, as he won the long jump (22-10) and the 200 (22.01).Kassa was named WIAA/The Seattle Times State Athlete of the Weekfor the week of May 17-22, and was the Skagit Valley Herald Trackand Field Athlete of the Year for three-straight years.
