Jordan Loera

Jordan Loera is in her fourth season at EWU after spending the previous two years at Southern Utah University as a graduate assistant for the women's basketball program.

In her third season with the Eagles, Loera aided the team in improving to 29 wins, the most in program history. Through her coaching, the team recorded the second lowest number of turnovers in program history (404) and the lowest turnover average per game (11.5) in program history. Loera's coaching was pivotal in the team's 2,392 points scored in the season, a new best in program history.

During her second season with the Eagles, Loera helped the team to a 10-win improvement from the '21-'22 season. Eastern recorded the lowest turnover total in program history (370) and turnover average per game (12.3). With Loera's coaching was key in the team's 69.5 points per game average, fifth best average in program history.   

The first season in Cheney, Loera and the Eagles finished with a 7-13 Big Sky record and 9-21 overall. 
 
Loera coordinated all team travel components and also worked with the development of the posts and guards while at SUU. She assisted the staff in several areas, including scouting reports and film breakdown. Loera was also involved in marketing and social media aspects, compliance matters, scheduling and SAAC. During the fall semester of 2020, she taught a coaching and officiating class at SUU.
 
Loera was a women's basketball student-athlete at the University of Oregon from 2011-16 where she played in 112 games with 45 starts during her tenure with the Ducks while averaging 4.7 points per game. She set a program record for most three-pointers by a freshman in 2011-12 with 45 to lead the team. Academically, she earned a Scholar Athlete Award every season from 2011-16.
 
She also has coaching experience at the high school level and spent time overseas with NBC Camps as a coach and a director. Loera is a licensed teacher and has also spent time as a sales and marketing associate.
 
Loera graduated from Oregon with her Bachelor's in Digital Arts in 2016 and earned her Master's of Public Administration from Southern Utah in 2021.
