2011:12: Earned Big Sky All-Academic honors forthe third time in her career. Played in 18 matches for the Eagles,primarily at No. 2, but had one appearance at No. 1 and one at No.3. She had two wins on the year, including a crucial 7-5, 3-6, 7-5victory over Portland State, which clinched a 5-2 win for theEagles. Prior to that match, she defeated Dorthy Chong ofLewis-Clark State in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6. In doubles, Pattonrecorded two seperate wins over Seattle, an 8-2 victory in theseason-opener with partner Helon Ricks and an 8-4 win later in theyear with partner Kelsey Knight.
2010-11: Played in 21 of Eastern’s 23matches, compiling an overall singles record of 8-13, which was thesecond-best record on the team. She was named to the Big SkyAll-Academic team for the second-consecutive year. Patton won sixof her first nine duals, including a memorable three-set victoryover Portland’s Stephanie Fuchs. Her best performances duringthe conference season came against Idaho State and Portland State,as Patton won both her doubles and singles matches in both outings.She also enjoyed a big win against Gonzaga when she outlastedGU’s Sophie Lantta at No. 5 singles, 3-6, 7-5, 1-0(10-6).
2009-10: Made significant contributions as afreshman, playing in each of EWU’s 21 matches at both the No.4 and No. 5 singles spot. Named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team. Finished the year with an overall singles recordof 10-11, making her one of only three players on the team torecord double-digit wins in the 2009-10 season. Had an impressive5-3 mark in conference play, which included one of the mostimportant and dramatic victories of the year for Eastern. Pattonclinched a 4-3 win for the Eagles over Northern Colorado when shebeat UNC’s Sydney Bell at the No. 5 singles position. Afterdropping her first set Bell, Patton battled back to take the match5-7, 6-3, 6-4. Patton was also one of only two Eagles to record awin against Northern Arizona, as she beat the Lumberjack’sNo. 4 player, Yumi Hasegawa, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at BoiseHigh School. Took third in both girl’s singles and mixeddoubles at the 2007 Idaho State championships. Played USTA juniorcompetition tennis, where she was ranked in the top 10 in theIntermountain Section. Earned a spot on the girl’s 18sNational Fed Cup team in 2008. Received the Homer Osborne MemorialSportsmanship Award in 2008. Also participated in volleyball andwas a member of the key club, dance club and French club at BoiseHigh School. Also a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Greg and Christa Patton.Pursuing a degree in marketing. Her father Greg is the men's tennishead coach at Boise State University, and also coaches for the U.S.National Team.
