- Finished with an overall record of 3-11 in doubles and 1-7 in conference doubles play.

- As a freshman, Mathews competed in 12 matches playing primarily at the No.2 singles spot with a record of 4-5.
- Compiled a record of 2-1 at No.3 singles as well for an overall 6-6 singles record.
- Went 5-3 in conference singles play.
- Teamed with Jennifer Kida at the No.3 doubles spot and went 3-3.
- Teamed with Isabella Foshee at No. 3 and went 2-0.
- Teamed up with Foshee at No. 1 doubles.
- Teamed with Yasmin Mansouri at No. 1 doubles and with Kenzington Mann at No. 2.
- Finished doubles play with an overall record of 6-6.
- Earned a ITA Scholar-Athlete award.
- Named to the Spring All-Big Sky Academic Team.
2020-21 | Freshman | All-Big Sky Honorable Mention Doubles… Big Sky Player of the Week (April 6)
- Competed in 15 matches for the Eagles as a freshman.
- Compiled an overall record of 2-6 at the No.1 singles spot and 3-4 at the No.2 singles spot for a collective 5-10 overall record.
- Finished with a 2-2 conference singles play record.
- Teamed with Louise Waite at the No.2 doubles spot and went 4-4.
- Teamed with Jennifer Kida at the No.2 doubles spot and went 2-4.
- Teamed with Yasmin Mansouri at the No.2 doubles spot and went 1-0.
- Named to the Spring Big Sky All-Academic team.
Prior to Eastern Washington
- Mathews hails from Ojai, Calif., but resided in Hilton Head Island, S.C., where she attended Van Der Meer Tennis Academy.
- According to TennisRecruiting.net, Mathews is a top-50 five-star class of 2020 recruit and is undefeated against every other five-star recruit she's faced in the last year.
- Over the summer, Mathews won five matches in Southern Level 1, falling to only to an UTR 11 opponent in the semifinals.
- In Southern Level 2 competition during the spring, she also won five matches, including a match in the finals.
- In the fall of 2018, Mathews played at the Southern Level 1A and earned a 3rd-place finish after winning five matches.
- Picked up big victories over Power 5 conference commits before falling in the quarterfinals.
- Competed on the National Clay Courts in 2018 where she recorded a 2-1 overall record before falling to an UTR 11 opponent.
- Made it to the finals in Ojai in girl's 14's and 16's.
Hinson on Mathews: "I'm very excited to welcome Scout to EWU and to the Eagle tennis program. She is a very talented and experienced national-level athlete with outstanding results. She will immediately strengthen our team from a tennis perspective. Equally as exciting from a coach's perspective is Scout's ability to connect with those around her and her desire to work with others to be successful. When we welcomed Scout to campus for a visit, we all felt an immediate comfort level and we shared the same passion and desire for doing something great, something bigger than what we can do individually. That type of energy is infectious and exemplifies the type of leadership I'm continually seeking to add to our program. Scout is also a great student in the classroom and is self-driven due to her extensive home-schooling background. That's another positive factor in her recruitment and one that will serve her well here at Eastern. She has all of the tools and determination to have a really successful college tennis career and I'm very glad to welcome her to the Eagle tennis family!"
