Prior to EWU

As a coach at the Community College of Spokane in 2004, he coached the men’s NWAACC Champion who broke the school record with a height of 16-4. Athletes coached by Allison held all school records while he coached there. In 2006, he coached two women vaulters who placed first and second at conference -- they were the only two female vaulters on the team. As a coach at Riverside High School (WA) from 1992 to 2000, he coached three state champions and several state placers.

Allison grew up in Fresno, Calif., and attended the University of California at Irvine. While at Irvine, he reached a personal best of 15-6 in the vault and competed in the conference championships twice. He also has his USA Track and Field Level I certification, and owns his own business in the Spokane area.
