2020-21 Track & Field: Outdoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. Advanced to the NCAA National Championships where she earned 2nd Team All-America Honors by finishing 10th overall in the pole vault. Fossen jumped a new personal record of 13-9 1/4, earning the No. 2 spot on Eastern’s all-time top-10 list. To qualify for the championshps, she jumped her previous PR height of 13-8 1/4 in the NCAA Preliminary Round to earn the 12th spot and advance to the final. Fossen competed in the Big Sky Conference Championships where she tied for second in the pole vault (12-9) and earned All-Big Sky honors. She also had PR’s in the 200 meters (27.71) and long jump (16-1 3/4) at the Whitworth H.I.R. Invite.
2019-20 Track & Field: Indoor: She competed in the pole vault at the Big Sky Conference Championships in Pocatello, Idaho, but no-heighted. Her career best in the pole vault came at the Boise State Challenge where she placed third with a mark of 12-5 1/2. Fossen’s career best 200 meters time came at the 202 Idaho Team Challenge with a time of 28.98.
2018-19 Track & Field: Outdoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. Fossen competed in the pole vault, placing sixth with a new best of 11-10 3/4 at the Big Sky Track & Field Championships. Fossen also competed in the pole vault at the WAR 12, placing third with a height of 10-10.
Indoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. At the MSU Dual Invite #2, Fossen placed ninth in the pole vault with a new best height of 11-7 3/4. She placed fourth in the pole vault with a 11-3 3/4 at the Candy Cane XI.
Community College: Attended Lane Community College where she won the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) title in the pole vault as a freshman and was the runner-up as a sophomore. She had a season-best vault of 12-5 1/4 in 2017 at the NWAC Championships, then had a personal record of 12-6 as a sophomore. She ended her career with a 11-5 3/4 clearance to place second at the NWAC Championships in 2018, missing out on a second-straight title by virtue of more misses in the competition.
High School: Graduated in 2016 from North Medford High School. As a senior, she had a career-best pole vault of 10-0 twice during the season. She also competed in the 100 meters and long jump in high school.
Personal: Majoring in communication disorders. Born 5/28/98 in Vancouver, Wash. Fossen's parents are Pat and Kari Fossen. Her sister, Megan, is on the Eastern women's basketball team. Megan was a 2018 graduate of North Medford High School, and, like her sister, attended Lane Community College prior to transferring to EWU.
