Alex Kelly was named the Sr. Associate Athletics Director/CFO at Eastern Washington in October of 2022. Kelly’s responsibilities include directing and supervising all athletics business operations.

Prior to joining the EWU staff, Kelly worked at the Big Sky Conference in Farmington, UT for five years most recently as the league’s Assistant Commissioner for Championships and Finance. Kelly’s duties included oversight of officiating services and day-to-day financial operations for the conference office. Kelly was also the sport supervisor for women’s soccer, track and field, and women’s golf during his tenure at the Big Sky. Kelly graduated from IUPUI in May of 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Sports Management. He also was a postgraduate intern with the Horizon League during the 2016-17 academic year. During that time, Kelly was also a member of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 2016 Big Ten Football Championship Game.


A native of Greencastle, Ind., Kelly currently resides in Cheney, WA with his wife Phelicia and daughter Emma.
