Anthony Quiroz returns to Eastern Washington after being hired as the Director of Equipment Services in May of 2024.
Anthony worked at EWU as a Varsity Sports Equipment student from September of 2017 to June of 2019. He helped set up practices for the department's 16 athletics programs during his tenure. He also traveled to home and away contests for football.
Prior to returning to Eastern, Anthony spent one season working at Yale University as an Equipment Operations Assistant. At Yale, Anthony assisted the day-to-day operations of all 34 athletic programs. He helped issue and maintain athletic equipment, oversaw student workers, prepared all equipment for storage and maintained inventory records.
Before his stint at Yale, Anthony worked for USA Track and Field in 2023 as an Intern. He helped to maintain the team's uniforms and equipment, while issuing and shipping uniforms for the international and domestic teams. Anthony also traveled to Oregon to work the 2023 USA Outdoor Championship.
Anthony has experience in the Big Sky Conference, spending nearly four years at the University of Montana as the Lead Equipment Room Assistant. During this tenure, Anthony worked specifically with football as a ball spotter, assisted the team at home games and on road trips. He provided equipment aid to both coaches and players during practices and games, while managing student responsibilities.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Anthony worked as an Equipment Assitant Intern for both the Kansas City Chiefs(2022) and New York Jets(2021). His responsibilities included cleaning and maintaining helmet and shoulder pads to comply with regulations, setting up practices and packing equipment during training camps. He also assisted in setting up and maintaining locker rooms, while working practices and games. While with the Chiefs, Anthony labeled and issued various apparel for players, coaches and staff, while maintaining insurance records for players and staff.
