Todd McGann

Todd McGann was named the interim Deputy Athletic Director at EWU in October 2021 before having the interim tag lifted in May 2022. McGann served as Eastern’s Associate Athletic Director and Director of Philanthropy for nearly two years, starting in February 2020, before moving into his current role. McGann’s duties include the oversight of annual development, marketing, communications, and ticket operations while serving as the sport supervisor for golf and soccer.

“I want to thank Lynn Hickey and Dr. May for showing the confidence in me by dropping my interim tag,” said McGann. “As a former student-athlete at EWU, it is an honor to be back working in a department that means so much to me.”

McGann is an Eastern Washington University alum, earning his Bachelor’s degree in recreation management in 1997 while competing on the men’s golf team. He served as Eastern’s Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions for two years before being elevated to the director position which he held for two years.

After his time at Eastern Washington, McGann began a four-year stint with the Spokane Youth Sports Association, first serving as the operations manager before moving on to an assistant executive director role. From there, McGann continued his involvement with youth sports, joining Washington Youth Soccer in Federal Way, Wash., as an executive director and COO from 2005 to 2008.

McGann returned to Spokane in 2008 and joined Dreams Marketing LLC as a director of sales and operations. After three years, McGann took a position with CenturyLink where he was the acquisition sales executive from 2011 to 2013 before being elevated to a senior relationship manager which he held until re-joining the Eagles in 2020.
