Senior

Alexis Rolan was right behind her in second place with a 7.52 time. Both will compete in the finals tomorrow at 12:10 p.m.
Â
"As it has been happening all year, our sprinters are getting the job done," women's head coach
Marcia Mecklenburg said. "It was just the prelims, but
Rebecca Tarbert and
Alexis Rolan are dominating the 60. Alexis is our comeback kid with a qualifying run for finals and a huge personal record in the 200. On top of that, she placed in the triple jump with another PR."
Â
Rolan qualified in the 200 by finishing third with a time of 24.21. The time puts her second on EWU's all-time list with Joyce Rainwater from 1995 owning the record with 23.82. The finals take place at 12:50 p.m. tomorrow.

Â
Other comments from head coach Marcia Mecklenburg . . .
On individuals: "We didn't quite do as well as we had hoped in the shot put and high jump, but hopefully we can make those points up in the weight throw and pole vault tomorrow. It is going to be an exciting day three."
Â
Other comments from head coach Stan Kerr . . .
On individuals: "
Tim Beard got scoring started in the weight throw and we are ready for the shot putters to do their part in tomorrow's competition. The conference got a glimpse of
Joe Gauthier's talent as he made finals and narrowly missed making the 200 meters finals.
Parker Bowden shined in the hurdles today and will go into tomorrow's final as one of the favorites. The DMR ran tough and scored some team points against some of the top distance talent in the country."
