Eagles to Take on Another PAC-12 Foe in Utah on Monday

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. PT in Salt Lake City

GAME NOTES

CHENEY, Wash. –
After over a week break from competition, the Eastern Washington University women's basketball team is back in action on Monday, Nov. 18. The Eagles will take on the Utes of Utah in Salt Lake City with tip-off set for 6 p.m. Pacific time inside the Huntsman Center.
 
The game will be broadcast HERE via the Utah Live Stream on the Pac-12 Network. Live stats can be found HERE with audio available via the Tune-In app.
 
Both teams are off to 0-2 starts this season, with Utah playing host to The Summit League member South Dakota on Saturday (Nov. 16) prior to hosting the Eagles.
 
Eastern Washington opened the season with losses against tough opponents, falling to No. 3 Stanford and to San Jose State, both on the road. Two games in to the season, sophomore Jessica McDowell-White is pacing the Eagles with 9.5 points per game, followed by freshman Kennedy Dickie who adds 8.5. The duo both scored in double figures against SJSU.
 
Bella Cravens leads the Eagles with 8.5 boards per game and pulled down 14 against the Spartans. McDowell-White adds 6.5 and also leads the team with two assists so far this year.
 
Eastern Washington has already totaled 15 three-point field goals this season to go with an average of 35 rebounds per game.
 
Utah opened the season with two games in Ohio, taking on Cincinnati where they lost 68-62 and Xavier where they fell 70-63. The Utes average 62.5 points per game on 37 percent accuracy from the field. Like the Eagles, they have also made 15 three-pointers and have the slight edge in rebounds per game with 35.5.
 
Utah is led by Brynna Maxwell who averages 13.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Lola Pendande and Niyah Becker each average 9.5 points per game.
 
Eastern Washington and the Utes have met eight times during the Division I era with EWU trailing the all-time series, 1-7. The lone win came back on Dec. 18, 1993 when the Eagles won 66-51 in Cheney.
 
Most recently, the teams met last season on Nov. 21 in Cheney where the Eagles fell 95-51. McDowell-White scored 10 points in the game to go with five assists on 4-for-9 shooting from the field while Grace Kirscher added eight points and a pair of rebounds.
 
Following Monday's game, the Eagles stay close to home for their annual matchup with Gonzaga. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. in Spokane on Friday, Nov. 22.
