CHENEY, Wash.-- The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team plays host to Big Sky Conference opponent Northern Colorado this Saturday, Feb. 23 in Cheney, Wash., at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m. Pacific time.
"We are ready and excited for another home conference match," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "Our approach to this match will be the same as it has been all season regardless of our opponent. We always expect a battle and we are prepared to give our best effort with positive energy from start to finish."
EWU returns to play after a losses at Gonzaga (Feb. 15) and to Wyoming at home (Feb. 17) both by scores of 7-0. After their loss against the Cowgirls, the Eagles are now 3-4 on their 2019 season.
The Bears have an overall record of 3-3, with victories over Colorado State University- Pueblo (7-0), Colorado College (7-0) and Metropolitan State University of Denver (6-1). UNC is led by head coach Chad Stoloff.
After the match on Saturday, EWU will play Idaho State (March 2) and Weber State (March 3) next weekend on the road for their first BSC road trip of the 2019 schedule.
