FARMINGTON, Utah — In her final season at Eastern Washington,
Isabella Foshee added to her postseason accolades. Foshee earned All-Big Sky singles honorable mention after playing as the Eagles' primary No. 1 option. The award is the second consecutive honorable mention for Foshee after she earned it last season as a junior.
Foshee played at No. 1 singles in 16 of the team's 18 matches this season, including all eight against Big Sky foes. She compiled a 4-4 conference record and was 6-10 overall.
Eastern closed out its season on Sunday, defeating Montana 6-1 in Missoula. Foshee notched a three-set win over Grace Haugen (6-3, 0-6, 6-4) to help power the win for the Eagles. Against UC Davis, Foshee defeated Mika Ikemori in three sets to help EWU to a
4-3 win over the Aggies.
In her second-to-last home match against Idaho State, Foshee cruised past Asern Shoybek in a two-set win (6-4, 6-0). Foshee also earned a three-set win in the matchup against Idaho's Annabel Davis, winning 7-5 and 6-3 in the final two sets. She grabbed a win in singles in the team's matchup against Weber, defeating Sydney Schnell to help EWU win the match, 4-3.
Foshee moved into the No. 1 position this season after playing across the board in her first three seasons.
For her career, Foshee has a 23-39 overall record, going 13-19 against Big Sky opponents.
