"We are very excited to have Courtney join our staff and provide leadership for both academics and student-athlete welfare programming for our department.  Courtney has been a great partner and advisor to our program for several years through her position on campus.  She is known by our staff and students and will provide us a seamless transition as she moves to athletics on a full-time basis," said Hickey. "Courtney is well respected on our campus and brings us not only a great understanding of our campus academics, but also expertise on how to advise and direct student-athletes in their academic and career pursuits."

Currently, she is a senior advisor and First Year Experience (FYE) Coordinator. In her role as an advisor, she assists Eastern Washington students in developing academic plans the keeps them in line with their career goals. She supervises all aspects of the CAHSS/CHSPH advising teams and handles student situations among other duties for CAHSS/CHSPH.

"I want to thank the search committee for this opportunity," said Bilodeaux. "I look forward to getting to know the Eagle athletes and staff better. Go Eags!"

As the FYE Coordinator, she leads the FYE Committee that develops and evaluates curriculum for current collaboration with FYE Faculty. She also works with campus partners to coordinate various FYE events.

Bilodeaux served as a student success advisor at Eastern Washington from 2016 to 2020, and was an instructor and teaching assistant prior to that while working for the Writer's Center.

She earned her Bachelor's degree in exercise science from Eastern Washington in 2013 and followed up with a Master's degree in sports and recreation administration with an emphasis in sport psychology in 2016. While she was a student, she was an assistant student ticket manager in EWU's athletic ticket office.

In 2018, she was the recipient of a NACADA Region 8 Excellence in Advising Certificate. She has written and been featured in several publications and given professional presentations on academic and mental health throughout the country.

A native of Ritzville, Wash., Bilodeaux's husband Jordan Bilodeaux, and fellow EWU alum, works at Eastern Washington as a voice admin.
