The Eagles have already qualified for their second-straight Big Sky Conference tournament, which is hosted by Weber State in Ogden, Utah, from Nov. 18-20. Eastern Washington is currently tied with Montana for seventh in the conference standings with a 6-8 Big Sky mark.

Idaho is at the bottom of the conference standings with a 2-12 mark in Big Sky play and are 5-18 overall. Eastern Washington has won two-straight over the Vandals, with the most recent will coming on Oct. 14 in Moscow, Idaho, in five sets. The win marked the first road victory since 2016. In the win, McClellan had six aces which was tied for fourth all-time for aces in a five-set match at EWU. She also added 15 kills, and both Sage Brustad (18 kills, 13 digs) and Lindsey Russell (48 assists, 11 digs) had double-doubles.

Northern Colorado is tied for first in the Big Sky standings with an 11-3 Big Sky record and a 19-6 overall record. The Bears are third overall in the conference in hitting percentage with .223 and are coming off of a thrilling upset at first-place Weber State with a five-set victory at home. Northern Colorado is also second overall in assists (12.22) and kills (13.27) per set, while ranking third in digs per set (14.56) and fourth in service aces (1.60).

The Eagles are second overall in the Big Sky with 1.77 service aces per set. Eastern Washington has served 11-or-more aces in seven matches this season, including 15 the last time they played the Vandals. Both Makenna Collins and Lindsey Russell lead the team with 22 total.

Collins also leads the team with 3.17 digs per set with 222 on the year. Lindsey Russell has handled most of the setting duties all year, and ranks sixth in the Big Sky with 7.08 per set.

Blotzer has 57 total blocks this season, averaging .69 to lead the team. She is third on the team with 1.98 kills per set, and swings .310 which is the fourth-best in the conference. McClellan leads the Eagles with 2.65 kills per set, followed by Brustad with 2.13.

Eastern Washington trails the Bears 9-24 in the all-time series and will look to snap a seven-match losing streak that dates back to Nov. 3, 2017, which was also the last win over UNC at home. The foes last faced off on Oct. 16 in Greeley, Colo., where EWU lost 3-0.

After this weekend's matches, the Eagles will turn their sights to the postseason, as they've qualified for the Big Sky Tournament for the second-straight year. Stay tuned to GoEags.com for further tournament information, or visit the championship central page HERE.
